The 455U-D is the high performance digital radio modem, designed for use on both licensed and license-free radio channels in the 380 - 512 MHz, 10mW - 5W, 12.5/20/25 KHz bands.
The unit has three serial ports. Two
data ports can be used to connect to two serial devices using MDC
(Multiple Device Connectivity) technology. One of the data ports
can be configured to be RS485. The third serial port is for
dedicated diagnostics and configuration The Wireless data rate is
up to 19.2 Kb/s whilst the DTE rates can be up to 115.2Kbit/s for
RS232 and 187Kbit/sec on RS485.
The unit offers OPR (Optimum Path Routing) functionality, a
protocol sensitive mode for Modbus, DF1 and DNP3 networks providing
maximum network communications efficiency for these protocols.
The 455 also has hot-redundant standby
functionality and a backup battery charging functionality with
smart power monitoring and low power sleep mode.
